A tourist makes his way onto the cobbled streets of a beautiful city at night. Dazzled by the bright lights and the vibrant energy of the people, the tourist slowly makes his way to the place where the common folks of the populace converge. As the night progresses, more intoxicating drinks are consumed and people become euphoric. Slowly, the tourist becomes unaware of his safety and forgets about his belongings.

In the morning, the tourist wakes up, still quite sober and unable to think straight thanks to his liquor hangover. Slowly he realizes that something is missing. As he grabs his pockets, he finds out that his valuable possessions are missing. Apparently, pickpockets picked on him and stole his possessions.

Quite naturally, a tourist experiencing this unfortunate situation will be dismayed with the place and people. What supposed to be a fun and adventurous plunge into the city is ruined by the incident. Worse, the guest immediately spread the word of the bad experience to a generalization of sorts, something that is almost besmirching to the place.

As such, members of security in Bristol quipped “first of all, guests or visitors must make sure to protect themselves at all times and be vigilant.” Indeed, your safety starts from yourself.  It pays to be safe everywhere, especially in crowded places.

“Second, don’t blame to others what is really your fault,” a personnel of the security services Bristol adds. When visiting a foreign place, be sure to do your research beforehand. Research about how safe the place is or research about the crime rate of the place you are visiting. This way, you are prepared and need to know places and people to avoid.

Third, control your alcohol intake especially in a foreign place. “You’ll never know what’s going to happen to you”, the same personnel of the security services Bristol elaborates. “It is good to have some good time, being alone and sad in a foreign land but you must know that there is a line between being drunk to moderate drinker.” Besides, there are more spots to glimpse in a place than just the clubs and bars.”
