It is obvious that in every item that is manufactured in this world, different types come along in order to provide the buyer with many types of items to choose from. Buyers do not like being limited to only one make or type and they will not feel comfortable purchasing just one make of the items that is why different types come along in order to give them their freedom to choose. Remote control helicopters are not left behind in this, and they too come in different types to allow the pilots to choose what type they want according to their own needs and the money they have to purchase.

In the purchase of a remote control helicopter, a buyer is always limited to the money they are willing to spend on the purchase and the size they want. We have many different types of the helicopters which have these considerations in them. In terms of the cost for instance, we have the cheap makes which are usually of a low quality and they never serve the pilot for a shorter time. These are best in cases where the pilot want a helicopter for a temporary need. We also have the average costly remote control helicopters which are determined by the power used by the helicopter. Here, we have two types which are the electric powered helicopters and the nitro powered helicopters. The electric powered ones are much cheaper to purchase and to maintain than the nitro powered helicopters. For a buyer who wants to save some money in a purchase, the electric powered helicopters are better off than the nitro powered ones but for those pilots who are only after the quality and the challenges involved in flying remote control helicopters, the nitro powered helicopters are the most appropriate. Both the electric and the nitro powered helicopters of an average cost are of a good quality and they will serve the pilot for a longer period of time.

We also have the gas remote control helicopters which are powered by gas as the name suggests. These ones are more costly than the two discussed earlier. The gas powered rc helicopters are not only costly to purchase but also in training the pilots. There are so many skills you are required to master for you to be allowed to fly these types of helicopter as compared to the two above that is why it takes a longer time and more money to train as a pilot for such a helicopter.

Another way to differentiate between remote control helicopters is by the number of rotors a helicopter has. We have the single rotor helicopters which are more complicated and hard to fly. These are mainly used by the most experienced pilots who have trained well on flying helicopters and they have enough experience on the same. The other type is the dual rotor remote control, which has two rotors. The two rotors are meant to rotate on opposite directions in order to provide stability to the helicopter. These are safer and quite appropriate to the beginners and those who have not mastered all the flying skills.
